How long does setup take?

Do my clients need an account?

No. Clients access their portal via a magic link sent to their email. No passwords, no account creation, no support tickets when they forget a password.

Can I import existing cases?

Yes. If you already hold the client's documents, create the checklist and upload them on their behalf, extraction, review, and form-fill all run the same as if the client had uploaded.

Which forms does the Chrome extension work on?

Any standard HTML web form. There's no integration to set up, open the form in your browser, click the extension, and Lodgey pre-fills what it can. Fields with direct data are populated straight away; for questions without a direct answer in the documents, smart fill reasons across the client's full record and suggests one for your review. That covers most government lodgement forms, compliance and KYC forms, and client onboarding flows. If a form uses unusual rendering and the extension can't read it, tell us, we improve coverage on request.

Where is my data stored?

All data is hosted in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Your clients' documents never leave Australian data centres. No cross-border transfer, ever.

Is Lodgey compliant with the Privacy Act?

Yes. We align with all 13 Australian Privacy Principles. The Security page sets out how Lodgey handles each one in product terms, including collection, notification, cross-border disclosure, security, access, and correction.

Is client data used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

Never. Our AI handles extraction, field mapping, and form-fill logic, all inference only. The model runs on AWS Bedrock in Sydney (ap-southeast-2); no document or extracted data leaves Australia for inference. Your clients' data is never used to train or improve any model, ours, the provider's, or anyone else's.

How is data encrypted?

Bank-grade encryption end to end, the same AES-256 standard used by Australian banks and government, plus TLS in transit. Each agency workspace also gets its own encryption key, so your data is cryptographically isolated from every other customer.

Can I permanently delete client data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Deletion is permanent and irreversible, in line with APP 13. We use per-applicant encryption keys, so when you delete a client, their data key is destroyed and any residual ciphertext in encrypted backups becomes permanently unreadable.

What happens in a data breach?

We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act. If we become aware of a suspected eligible breach, we assess it within the 30-day statutory window and, where the breach is confirmed eligible, notify affected individuals and the OAIC as soon as practicable.

How accurate is extraction?

High for standard identity, financial, and compliance documents. Lodgey shows confidence per field, and you review every extraction before anything is used downstream. We never auto-submit.

What document types are supported?

Identity documents, payslips, bank statements, certificates, contracts, and most other documents agents collect from clients. If you have an unusual document type, send us a sample, we'll tell you honestly whether extraction will work well on it.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

You reject the document and ask the client to re-upload a clearer copy; extraction re-runs against the new file. Nothing progresses without human approval.
